Bang Si-Hyuk, also known as Hitman Bang, is a South Korean music executive, record producer and songwriter who is the founder of record label Big Hit Music and chairman of HYBE Corporation.
According to Reuters, Bang Si-Hyuk is accused of misleading investors and earning unlawful profits from HYBE Initial Public Offering (IPO).
Basically, he’s accused of not telling investors the full truth before HYBE sold shares to the public, and then benefiting financially from it.
The South Korean police have requested a warrant for Bang; him and HYBE are denying the allegations and pledge full co-operation with authorities.
The allegations surrounding Bang Si-hyuk come at a time when HYBE has already faced increased scrutiny from fans over various artist-related issues, including hiatuses and group changes.
